Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, is one of the youngest cities in Texas. Incorporated in 1988 with less than 1750 residents, it has grown to nearly 5,000 residents while maintaining its small town character. It is one of those rare cities that truly believes in minimum government - only what the citizens want and only when required.

 

SCHOOLS

The Boerne Independent School District is a highly regarded school system in which students consistently score higher than the national average on standardized tests. A new elementary school opened September 1995 in Fair Oaks Ranch Kindergarden through 6th. Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary was awarded the National Blue Ribbon and all 7 schools won State awards. There are many private schools in the area , two of which are: (1) Hill County Montessori School for children 18 months through 9 years. Call (830) 816-3819 for further information; (2) Texas Military Institute is a prestigious learning center with co-ed classes for grades 6 through 12.

The world renowned South Texas Medical Center is about 20 minutes from Fair Oaks Ranch.

POLICE

Police coverage is provided 24 hours a day, everyday of the year, by Fair Oaks Ranch.

FIRE

Two fire stations located in the City operated by the Leon Springs Volunteer Fire Department.

FAIR OAKS RANCH IS AN INCORPORATED CITY AND A BUILDING PERMIT IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION OF HOMES.
